Our brief was to design and manufacture a durable road sign stand that would eliminate the shortcomings of the existing product. These included excessive weight due to metal construction and a design that could only accommodate one fixed sign, which resulted in high transportation with a large vehicle.
Inpress Plastic was nominated for an industry award, produced a product that was cheaper, had greater durability (tested in a 30 mph head-on impact test) and allowed for signs to be interchangeable, thereby reducing the client’s vehicle and transportation costs.
